Soemon Nakagami is a scientist who is studying "Charisma" after secretly spying on the household from seeing the power that they emanate from their breaks. He is introduced in Season 2 and is perceived as the "villain" for the series at this current state. He is first introduced in Track 75 , where he spends his time chasing after the charismatics in an effort to research their Charisma Breaks.

Appearance

Nakagami has slightly short, messy, ashy-blonde hair with a light stubble on his chin. He has light gray eyes and wears oval glasses. He wears a dull light blue button up with a lab coat on top. He has brown slacks, a black belt, and black boots as well.

Personality

Nakagami is a reckless yet determined man who is affiliated with a special organization that stretches over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pentagon. His main topic of research involves studying the energy source he dubs "Charisma." He has grown fixated on his work to the point of treating his assistants callously, such as forgetting his assistant Torahime's name. The opposite can be said of his treatment of his research subjects, whom he fawns over to an obsessive and stalker-like degree comparable to that of a super fan. His main goal in researching the charismatics involves harnessing the energy created by their Charisma Breaks to save the country from an impending energy crisis.

He wishes of wanting to work with the 7 charismatic individuals due to the energy that emerges from their Charisma Breaks, he believes they will save the country with this said power and "it is what it needs the most right now" due to the energy resource problem of coal, oil, nuclear power and the further alternative energies. He attempts this by trying to manipulate them e.g., attempting to convince Fumiya Ito with money, and telling Rikai Kusanagi he can change the nation for the better with his said Charisma. Despite all his cunning words and behaviour, he is shown to be incautious with his decisions; creating poor outcomes on his end due to his fixation on the charismatics. This clashes with the success of his research, as he tends to make short-sighted decisions in his desperation to see them up close.

Regardless of his serious side, he is shown to be obsessive to the point of coming off like a fan-girl towards the household, excited when he eventually saw a Charisma Break. He truly is deeply fascinated by them, going as far as researching them individually and learning all about them.
